Local Area and Places to Visit

All our gites are together here in Peyras, a small hamlet in the commune of Chirac.

Chirac is 2km from us where there is a church and bar/restaurant.

Exideuil is 2km down the hill where there is a Pharmacy, Post Office, Boulangerie, little shop, Bar and a stunning church.  Kayaking also available from here down the River Vienne (guided tours available).

Chabanais is 6km from us, a larger town with the nearest supermarket (Super U), many more shops and bars/restaurants along with ATM machines.

Confolens is approximately 15 km from us and a beautiful town to visit.  Situated on the River Vienne there are a few good cafes/bars/restaurants.

Saint Junien (Haute Vienne) is a much larger town with a lot more shops to visit - 20 minutes drive from us.
